Highlands Central Market
Albuquerque, NM - Opening April 2027
The project
Highlands Central Market will be Albuquerque's premier chef-driven food hall — a curated, locally-sourced multi-vendor destination on Central Avenue, directly across from Presbyterian Hospital in the city's vibrant East Downtown (EDo) neighborhood.
The food hall sits on the ground floor of a new mixed-use development by Titan Development, anchored by a 126-room Residence Inn by Marriott above. The combination of a 24/7 daypart driver from the hotel, a steady weekday workforce from Presbyterian Hospital and adjacent offices, and a fast-growing residential corridor gives the site exactly the trade-area depth a successful food hall requires.
Onset's role
Onset Hospitality is the food hall's curation, programming, and operations partner. We're leading vendor recruitment with a focus on strong local and regional chef-driven concepts — the kind of operators who bring genuine Albuquerque culinary identity rather than chains. We're also building the full-service bar program, daypart-balanced operating model, and the ongoing cultural programming calendar that turns a food hall into a true community gathering place.
The vision
Highlands Central Market is designed to reflect Albuquerque's distinctive culinary heritage — Native American, Mexican, New Mexican, and contemporary American traditions — in a hospitality-forward environment that draws locals, hotel guests, hospital staff, and visitors alike.
